Today we are doing a sponsored pet product review on the Beef Treats from Farm Fresh Pet Foods®. The Farm Fresh Pet Food Company was started by local ranchers in Saskatchewan who wanted to make sure that their own, very hard-working, cattle dogs were getting the best, high quality ingredient treats, so they created their own, made with Canadian ingredients. Let’s start this product review!
ground beef, beef heart, liver & kidney, oatmeal, honey, brown sugar, garlic powder & sea salt.
We were lucky enough to actually meet someone from the Farm Fresh family, we met Nicole in Edmonton the day before Muttstock in July. Farm Fresh Pet Foods was being included in our wicked swag bags we gave out at our booth. She met me with two giant bags of sample treats to give out as well as two bags for Rolo himself(hello! spoiled). The people attending Muttstock actually got to sample a product that wasn’t even launched yet, “Farm Fresh Canadian Bacon Treats” and I was sure to tell all the people attending my booth who got one that they weren’t even released yet. The treats actually JUST got released to the public on August 6th and were hitting store shelves that week!
First lets talk about the product design & packaging. The treats come in a yellow, black & white (their signature colors) plastic package that the inside portion has been vacuumed sealed to seal in the freshness as there are no preservatives, by-products or fillers inside these treats. The treats itself are long and skinny, “pepperoni stick” style. I like that they can be for small or large dogs. I normally give Rolo the entire stick but you can easily break them apart to give to a smaller dog or even use as a training treat. As you can tell from the middle photo below, Mr Rolo is missing some teeth. These are squishy and perfect for old dogs with little to no teeth.
One thing I love about these treats, besides the fact that they make Rolo happy, is that they don’t make a mess or crumble. Which is especially nice because Rolo usually gets his treats inside (except for photo shoots of course), and with having a baby around who likes to pick things up and put them in her mouth, there isn’t a chance there will be a trace left of these (also because they are so darn good).
Overall, these are great treats and we cant wait to see your pets loving them too! We are pretty excited that a local retailer where we live ALSO carries these. So if you are in Fort McMurray, the Thickwood Bone & Biscuit near Pizza Hut is a retailer for them. We also wanted to say how great it is that this is a Canadian company made with Canadian ingredients. All hail the maple leaf! #roloapproved
On their website, you will find a map of where these treats are located. There are ALOT of stores in Canada that carry them and now they just started distributing into the USA for retailers! So if YOUR pet is wanting these treats and you live in the USA, ask your local pet store to look into getting them through NV Pets or wholesalepet.com.
